Malaysia

In 2017, I spent the entire year in Malaysia (and a month in Australia), training and performing in a live stunt show in Ipoh, Malaysia. The focus of the training was car driving. Sliding, 90's, 180's, reverse 180s, 360s, and TWO WHEELING!

The best part of this is that I basically was burning multiple sets of tires down to the treads most days! Such a gift this contract was. It costs $3000 JUST for TWO days of driving at Rick Semen's school in Cali.

The struggle was being away from the States for so long. One year. One year is a long time. I was worried I would be forgotten about in the industry, but after returning, I learned people will still remember you, respect you, train with you, hire you....as long as you constantly put yourself out there and give your all, no one can forget you.

I will say that this contract is my LAST contract for the live stunt show world. I am ready to really stay focused on getting more SAG days. Working this Malaysian stunt show contract was different than the others I have done solely based on the fact that I was PAID to learn a new skill that I have always dreamed of learning, just did not have the money to do it. This was my 5th live stunt show contract, I have worked in China (8 months), Indonesia (3 months), Germany (9 months), Branson, Missouri (3 months), and now Malaysia (12 months). Living in other cultures is a gift to experience in itself--even if it IS an oppressive one towards women, like it was in Malaysia and Indonesia.
